Why Does Religion Exist?

Some people view religion following people as weak. As if
they need a crutch. What they fail to realize is that we all need some sort of crutch. This is not to say that people are incapable or disabled. But, when over five-hundred-thousand people are injured in alcohol-related car accidents in a year, you can see that people can be rather stupid. You can see that we need something to be a guiding force in our lives. When seven-million-six-hundred-thousand people die from cancer in a year, people will ask, "Why is this happening?”. People need to know that there is a reason for which things happen. That there is good that will come of all the bad. Religion is very important and is something that should never be taken away.

Civilized

What makes people civilized? Lack of government can make a people group unorganized and therefore uncivilized. When a people group has no education system they will tend to be illiterate. When people are illiterate mass communication becomes very difficult, as does a legal system, because the people cannot read their laws. A government without written laws can very easily bend the laws to profit themselves, and their own agendas, therefore corrupting the government and obviously make it no longer civilized. Borders also are very important for a people group to be civilized. If a nation does not have borders, then there will be constant warring with neighboring countries over land on a community level, which would be very uncivilized.
